Celebrity Stylist Tim Hawkins’ Unique eye for fashion began at the age of 5. The occasion was
school picture day outfit. His father picked a black suit, Tim wasn’t interested. He wanted the shiny green silk Stacy Adams suit. After some complex negotiations, his parents gave in & On picture day, Tim was a standout! Tim’s love for fashion & the art of dressing consumed his life well into adulthood. Tim’s ultimate goal in life was to work in the entertainment industry with a career in fashion or music.While studying musical theater and dance at Columbia College in Chicago. Tim had a desire to learn the business side of fashion, so he began working at a local boutique where he discovered the world of styling. That job laid the framework for his career. He learned about fashion trade shows, fashion merchandising, marketing and the importance of networking.
Tim’s eye for style and willingness to step out of the box became his signature, ultimately turning his reputation
into revenue when he decided to start a business and Launched LaMar & Co for his 22nd birthday!
Tim’s big break happened in 2013 when he became a wardrobe assistant for “The Steve Harvey Show”. Since then his work has been seen on national and local syndicated television shows and publications including: The Emmys, the Stellar Awards, NBA All-Star weekend, The Billboard Awards, and Soul Train Awards. Tim has also appeared as on air talent for National and Local talk TV including shows like: Good Morning America, The Chew, Bets 106 & Park, Chicago Today, Windy City Live, You And Me This Morning, Essence, Jet, and Ebony Magazine.
Tim’s work can be seen on the backs and bottoms of Some of your favorite Celebrities including the likes of Avery Sunshine, Empires Morroco Omari , R&B Singer Sparkle, Tasha Page-Lockhart, Alvester Martin, Todd Dulaney, Opal Staples and Notre Dames women’s basketball head coach Niele Ivey.
Tim is a full lifestyle Stylist and dresses Men, Women and Kids for major life events and sometimes just because people want to freshen up their look on a Wednesday.
Tim gets to know his clients’ personalities and infuses that when creating looks that magnifies their personal style. He often says, “People don’t come to me for normal. My job is to show you a different side of yourself while remaining true to who you are.” Tim’s greatest payment comes when he sees the smiles on his clients’ faces. Through his gift of styling, Tim is making the world smile one perfect ensemble at a time & has no plans on stopping!
